Atelier 21 opened in September 2020 and was developed by Hayley to take apart the mainstream school system and put it back together in a more learner-centred way that sets young people up to be connected to the world, instilling a love of learning for life. As a trail-blazing school Atelier 21 set out to break the mould of what a school should look like to create an education fit for young people’s futures, not our past and then scale the model for future schools both in the UK and globally.
We were delighted with the outcome of the Ofsted inspection that took place in July 2025. Atelier 21 retained its overall rating of Good, with Outstanding in Personal Development.
In addition, we are thrilled to celebrate an Outstanding rating for the Early Years Foundation Stage. This is a phenomenal achievement for such a young school (first opened in September 2020) and reflects the expertise, dedication and hard work of the entire Reception and Year 1 team.
We were encouraged that the inspectors shared, in their personal feedback, how impressed they were with the pace of progress across the school and how they can see that will develop over the coming years.
