Fantastic News, Atelier 21 is a FINALIST in the Muddy Stilettos Awards for ‘Best Sense of School Spirit!’
This is on account of our staff having such a passion for delivering a new educational approach. We have also received a ‘Highly commended’ in the category of ‘Empowering Young Entrepreneurs.’ There is no handbook for Atelier 21, we are creating a new version of school as we grow and develop.
This demands more resilience, empathy, collaboration, communication, agility, flexibility, creativity and unwavering commitment from our team than you would find in any school delivering education in a mainstream way.
This calls for staff to work from the heart and soul, not based on experience. It demands parents trust a new educational process. It means deconstructing everything they know about school and buying in to a completely unique and unrecognisable system. Our pupils put much more in too as they have to learn to think for themselves.
This makes us far closer community, as we are authentically in this together! Everyone must have an exceptional sense of humour to go this level of extra mile. The spirit of Atelier 21 is vital. A huge leap of faith from everyone, but a massively worthwhile one!
